Thank you for joining me to the South Pole! I'll be adding more interesting stuff when I get a little less busy; meanwhile please visit previous years and ask me questions at the top!

Why are you going to the South Pole again?
=) We completed 3 years of observation with our telescope, so I'm going there to make some final measurements and then disassemble it to bring back to California.

How many people are you working there with?
=) I will be working with 4 other teammates at a time, with a total of 9 throughout the month and a half.

What time is it there?
=) Since the flights are from New Zealand, we use NZ time. That's 3 hours behind California (but 1 day ahead).

How can I reach you?
=) Please call my room anytime at 1-720-568-1709 (no different from calling a US domestic landline)! You can reach me only when the satellites are accessible: 7am-5pm California time. If I'm not in my room, I'm usually by the telescope: 720-568-1900. Please also find me on Skype (yukimoon).

What's it like there now?
=) You can see the live image of the station and the weather.

(Unknown person) Which facility are you working with at the South pole?
=) I work on the BICEP telescope in the Dark Sector Lab.
