6am woke up. 8:15 meeting.
1-3:30pm Pete, Evan, and I went thru more than 10 slideshows about safety in Antarctica with Bill, the safety guy.
[12/6(Tu) All-nighter]
6am Woke up.
8pm Taking a good look...
before closing everything up.
10pm Rivetted the brushseal together on the roof.
[12/7(We) "Boot" insulation on! Moon!]
6am Went back to the station w/ Evan for breakfast. So sleepy... 8am Meeting
9am Super busy preparing the brushseal
for crane-installation of the green "boot" insulation.
10am Went back to the station for a break. Fell asleep. 1pm After a quick lunch, back to DSL to insert the detectors into the cryogenic tube.
9:30pm sleep, finally!
Q(Mariko). Can you see the moon from there?
=) As I looked up at John on the roof, I saw behind him the Moon!

[12/8(Th) Roof action]
7am woke up. 8am Teleconference
3pm Put on a harness... to go to the roof to inspect the brushseal. My hands got super cold. When I came back in, I had to warm them up with our electronics.

8:30pm Went to sleep.
[12/9(Fr) Haircut!]
4:30am Woke up
8am-6pm DSL (rack, The station's cargo crew came to visit wearing our T-shirts we gave them.
8-9pm I got a haircut from Dehlia -- she was never trained as a barbar, but it was the best hair cut I've ever had in a while.
9pm Played 9-ball w/ Ki Won. Took a shower.

7am woke up
8am On the way to DSL, saw a private plane land to pick up 2 skiers who have been camping out since they skied from 88-deg latitude.
12pm Our JPL scientist Jamie arrived.
[12/11(Su) IceCube open house]
1am Woke up once thinking it's time to get up, but was still 1am. Decided to sleep for another hour, but...
5:30am Woke up w/ Nacchan's phone call
11am Had brunch w/ Cameron practicing Japanese; ate too much sugar and fell asleep again...
1:30-3:30pm Woke up w/ an annoucement for IceCube open house.
3:30-7pm Went to the roof again to record measurements from last night. John and I also measured the dimensions of the ground screen.
8pm Had left-over dinner that was being cooled outside. Then a lecture about big projects.
