Homestake DUSEL Workshop Announcement:

 

The Homestake DUSEL (Deep Underground Science and Engineering
Laboratory) Collaboration will host workshops both prior to and after
the fall meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) in San
Francisco.  The pre-meeting workshop will be held on Sunday, December 4,
12 - 5 pm, and will be aimed toward the geosciences and geomicrobiology
including geochemistry, geohydrology, geomicrobiology, economic geology,
rock mechanics and geoengineering.  The post-AGU session to be held on
Friday, December 9, 2 - 5 pm, will provide similar background
information but will focus on engineering and geohydrological
applications and research.  The goals of these workshops will be to
identify experiments, specific proposals, and potential teams that may
constitute the initial suite of activities and people in the Homestake
DUSEL.  All meetings will be held in the Marriott Hotel.  Meeting rooms
will be announced at a later date.  Participants are encouraged to
register for the workshop at neutrino.lbl.gov/AGU to ensure continuing
