Closeup of a CDMS tower, view from above.  The six vertical cards viewed edge on hold FETs for the ionization measurement; the cards are mounted to 4 degrees Kelvin while the FETs sit on a thermally decoupled window that allows them to self-heat to 100 degrees Kelvin.  The curved stripline-type cables connect to the SQUID cards sitting at the 600 mK layer of the detector assembly.  The SQUIDs are used for readout of the ZIP detector phonon sensors.  The cable carries signal to and from the SQUIDs.  The striplines seen in the previous picture are visible trailing off from the outside of the FET cards.
