The Desktop Stars laboratory was orginally designed by Storn White and
Roy Therrien, for use at Longfellow Middle school in Berkeley California,
as part of the Center for Particle
Astrophysics' K-12 education outreach program. The laboratory was
expanded to include spectrometers by Jeff Wilkerson. The current write up
